IPL 2020 TEAM PREVIEW: CHENNAI SUPER KINGS

CSK would be looking to retain the title this season.

 Chennai Super Kings are one of the most successful franchises in the Indian Premier League. They have won a total of three IPL trophies in 2010, 2011 and 2018. CSK is the first team to win consecutive titles. They are going to be one of the top contenders for the trophy this season.

The MS Dhoni led squad is the most experienced side in this season. They also have the highest average age. The average age might be an important factor this season, but CSK has proven everyone wrong once in 2018. They can surprise us again this year. With this season being moved to the United Arab Emirates due to the coronavirus pandemic, they have a slight advantage over other side. They have quality spinners in their side who can give them an upper hand over other teams. Ravindra Jadeja and Mitchell Santner are the two left arm spinners who contribute with the bat as well. They also have three experienced right arm spinners in the form of Harbhajan Singh, Imran Tahir and Piyush Chawla. The spin arsenal could prove to be an asset for the Chennai Super Kings on the slow turning pitches of UAE.

They have got quality pace bowling all rounders in the form of Sam Curran, Dwayne Bravo and Shane Watson who provide balance and flexibility to the side. They have got a an attacking top order in the form of Faf Du Plesis, Ambati Rayudu and Suresh Raina. MS Dhoni will be their to bring explosiveness and firepower to the batting lineup. He is going to bring experience and composure to the batting line up as well as from behind the stumps.

With an experienced leader at the helm, and a well balanced side, the Chennai Super Kings would be looking to bag another title.
